The easily-accessible private cottage is situated on two quiet secluded acres and has over 400 feet of private sand beach. Water recreation includes swimming, fishing, water skiing, and canoeing. Nearby is a boat launch. Other nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing, and hunting.

The property is located six miles north of Baraga and 20 miles south of Houghton. Baraga has restaurants, shops, a marina and bait shop, grocery stores and the Ojibwa Casino. Houghton is larger offering dining, shopping, entertainment and cruises to Isle Royal National Park as well as sunset dinner cruises. Within in a short drive you can visit copper mines, historic Calumet and Fort Wilkins in Copper Harbor. There are several waterfalls and great hiking trails to explore in the western Upper Peninsula. If you're visiting during the winter, Baraga is very popular with snowmobiles for it's many groomed trails.

Lake Superior is the largest great lake. Fish include perch, bass, trout, whitefish, salmon, pike, sturgeon, smelt. Fishing guide service is available.
